Originally, what is now The Wicked Villa, was a still house because this property was once a vineyard. The next farmer used it as a silo, which explains the canister in the wall on the eastern side. When we arrived it had a new life as a junk shed... for years... UNTIL NOW!
The century old two storey red brick building has been re-purposed for your pleasure using new and found materials.
Sitting at the top of the hill The Wicked Villa is near the Cellar Door but with its own privacy and a fenced courtyard. No neighbours and no immediate roads.
Revitalise, relax and restore
One hilltop, one villa, one couple with space and a place to revitalise, relax and restore.
Downstairs is the bedroom with a king size bed and attention to all the luxuries of an indulgent wind down. The bathroom has a huge bath, and a huge shower and the cutest vanity!
A sculptural staircase leads upstairs to a well appointed kitchen and a living area with options of reading, board games, TV or music... or just relaxing on the verandah with a glass of wine waiting for the sunset!
Visit our Calico Town Wines and The Wicked Virgin Olive Grove website for wine and food options that are available to you.
Indulge in the view
Local artists have adorned the walls for your interest and pleasure. A wide balcony alows the chance to soak up the late afternoon sun, indulge in a quiet quaff and wait for the sunset. Storm watching is great too.
If you are an early riser (during the cooler weather) the mist shrouding the trees across the plain can be magical.
This adults only accommodation is suitable for those comfortable with stairs.
